Kutaisi is the second largest and one of the oldest cities of Georgia. It boasts a diverse historical and cultural heritage – dinosaur footprints, a myth of the Argonauts, the UNESCO-protected architectural monuments, Kutaisi having been the ancient capital of Georgia for centuries as well as a 112-year-old film making tradition.
The Festival will bring cinema back to Kutaisi. Kutaisi International Short Film Festival will revive cultural life in the region and help the city celebrate cinema annually.
The Festival’s focus is on short films and it aims at discovering new talents and voices in film industry and cinema. The Festival will highlight the importance and the values of short films with an aim to revive its popularity among public.
The second edition will be held on 1-7 October and the events will include lectures, master-classes and workshops.
